  1. On the TV, open Settings › General › Network › Expert Settings (newer models: All Settings › Connection › Network › Expert Settings).
  2. Turn on Power On with Mobile.
  3. Open Remote Papi on the same Wi-Fi and pick your TV.
  4. The first time, choose Allow on the TV.

Questions

Do I need a Samsung or SmartThings account?

No. Remote Papi talks to your TV directly over your home Wi-Fi. There is no account and no sign-in.

Which Samsung TVs work?

Most Samsung smart TVs from recent years that can be controlled over the home network. If yours isn't found, email us the model and we'll take a look.

The TV says no or keeps asking

Choose Allow on the TV within about 30 seconds. If it never asks, check Settings › General › External Device Manager › Device Connection Manager › Device List and allow it there.

Is it free?

Yes, the full remote is free. Remote Papi Pro is an optional one-time $1.99 that adds Scenes, Simple Mode, the Lock Screen remote and volume-button control.
